Book description

In this biography, Bonnie Greer gives us an insight into the controversial African-American writer and campaigner Langston Hughes, a jazzman, a man you could not predict or define, a man of contradiction who refused classification.
Bonnie Greer was born on the Southside of Chicago. She has lived in the United Kingdom for many years, and is both an American and British citizen. She is an award-winning playwright and novelist, as well as an author, critic and broadcaster. She has taught playwriting in schools in both New York City and in London. She was awarded an OBE for services to the arts in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2010.
