Bonnie Greer was born on the Southside of Chicago. She has lived in
the United Kingdom for many years, and is both an American and British
citizen. She is an award-winning playwright and novelist, as well as an
author, critic and broadcaster. She has taught playwriting in schools in
both New York City and in London. She was awarded an OBE for services to
the arts in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2010.
