Book description

George Gordon Byron (1788-1824) was born into an unstable family and lost both parents before the age of 24. The publication of Childe Harold's Pilgrimage in 1811 made him a literary celebrity in English society, before he left in 1816 following a scandal involving his half-sister Augusta. He wrote Don Juan, his most famous work, in Italy and died in Greece in 1824. George Gordon Byron (1788-1824) was born into an unstable family and lost both parents before the age of 24.
