This book was placed on the Secretary of State's “Read Michigan” list in 1995 and continues to serve as Michigan's most comprehensive publication on unique places to stay in Michigan. Kat and Bev have been featured on several radio talk shows and PBS TV's “Michigan Magazine.” They were also guest speakers at the “Michigan's Haunting Experience” paranormal conference and other public venues. Since the Michigan Vacation Guide's inception, the authors have traveled thousands of miles across Michigan exploring every region of the state. From the most remote areas of the Upper Peninsula to major urban communities, they have visited many of Michigan's most historical locations. In their travels, they were surprised at the number of stories they heard from people who had firsthand experience with ghosts and hauntings.
