Legendary Guide and has written three fly fishing books. He owns and
operates the guide business Streit Fly Fishing that operates out of Taos
Fly Shop. His long history in fly fishing began by wading the fabled
waters of the Catskills before he was 10, guiding in his teens and then
tying flies commercially. He moved to Northern New Mexico where he later
opened Taos Fly Shop. For the last decade has been taking anglers to
Patagonia, Argentina. In 2001 he was unanimously inducted into the
Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a legendary guide. Taylor writes and
photographs for many publications, and has developed a number of
flies-including the Poundmeister-that appear in this book.
