Book description

Most Catholics did not grow up learning how to pray with others for healing or to expect that their prayers could be powerful and transformative. In this book, Francis MacNutt, an early leader in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and head of Christian Healing Ministries, encourages Catholics to do both. This easy-to-read and informative book:
includes a step-by-step guide for how to pray with others through the laying on of hands;
explains the various types of healings that we can expect-physical, emotional, and spiritual;
discusses the healing effects of the sacraments;
features many stories of people who have been healed through prayer.
This book will help Catholics view healing prayer as an integral part of their life in Christ and step out in faith by praying with others and by asking for prayer when they need healing. Francis MacNutt is cofounder, with his wife Judith, of Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville, Florida, and the author of several books on healing prayer, including the 1974 classic, Healing. Dedicated to reviving the practice of healing prayer in the church, over the years MacNutt has preached and prayed with people for healing in thirty-one countries on all five continents. Francis was an early leader in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, and in 1976 he founded the Association of Christian Therapists in order to bring healing prayer into the medical profession. He and his wife have two grown children.
