Paul Mayersberg was born in Cambridge in 1941 and was educated at
Dulwich College. During the 1960s he worked as a critic and journalist
on film topics. During the 1970s and 1980s he worked as a screenwriter
and his credits include The Man Who Fell To Earth and Merry Christmas Mr
Lawrence. his films as writer/director are Captive (1986), Nightfall
(1988) and The Last Samurai (1990). Homme Fatale was first published in
1991.
