Book description
'His name was Buster Fleabags. He was my dog, and I was his human.'
Of all the animals who have played such an important part of Rolf
Harris's life, he loved Buster Fleabags most.
The happiest times of Rolf's boyhood in Western Australia were spent
with this bouncy little mongrel with the stuck-up ears and the curly
tail. Buster swam for hours with Rolf in the river, rode in the basket
on the front of his bicycle, and joined in his games.
Boy and dog were so devoted to each other that when Buster caught
the dreaded disease distemper, Rolf slept in the kennel with him as he
slowly nursed him back to health.
Buster Fleabags was as much of a character - and a bundle of energy
- as his owner, and this is the story of a very special dog.
Rolf Harris, artist, musician, singer, TV presenter and one of
Britain's best-loved entertainers was born in Perth, Western Australia.
He has been awarded the CBE, is a member of the Order of Australia and
has won many honours for his work in the entertainment industry.
