Book description
In these pages you will discover words you never knew existed, and
rediscover many that you had forgotten or had given up all hope of
ever seeing again.
If the amoindering of our language by fifish chuffs leads you to
fleer and the infandous overslipping of orthoepy makes you feel
wamble, this is most certainly the book for you.
Prepare to fike, gane and gaure as Dr Johnson certiorates, carrying
carotic catachresis to new heights, and providing all lovers of
leguleian lexicographical detail with a rich feast of mullock, cultch
and peltry.
Dr Neil Johnson is the author of a considerable number of
scientific articles which few have ever read and no-one remembers,
around a dozen equally influential books on biomedical topics, and a
series of books for children, The King and Wizard Stories.
One time Reader in Neuropharmacology at the University of Lancaster,
he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, the Institute of
Biology, the British Psychological Society and the Collegium
Internationale Neuropsychopharmacologicum, which means that he can not
only read big words, but has figured out how to look as though he
understands most of them.
