John Aylen has a small business that provides
marketing and communications services to businesses, institutional
clients and not-for-profit organizations of all sizes. He is a regular
guest lecturer at the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies at
McGill University and has been a judge at the John Molson School of
Business International MBA Case Competition for more than 10 years. He
is the author of a number of books on small business management and
contemporary history. He has written widely on business topics for
magazines and newspapers in Canada and has edited books on health care
