Book description
So many people know about the Bible but so few have read it at all,
let alone from cover to distant cover. This version of the Bible has
been written to bridge that gap. The 100-Minute Bible picks out the
essential elements of the Bible from Genesis through to the Revelation
of John using universal language. Most people will be able to read it
in 100 minutes, making it the ideal read for that upcoming rail or
aeroplane journey, or for an enjoyable evening of enlightenment.
Michael Hinton was born in Bristol in 1927. For most of his life
he was a teacher, and was head successively of a grammar, a public and
a comprehensive school. He was ordained priest in 1984 and from 1985
to 1995 cared for a village parish in Kent. He is now retired, but
remains active in church life. He has written three other books: A
History of the Town of Reading, Comprehensive Schools: a Christian's
View, and The Anglican Parochial Clergy: a Celebration. He is married
to Jean, and they have five adult children.
