Sarah A. Hoyt ("If I Lose Thee...")
occasionally takes time away from writing to keep her husband, two
kids, four cats, and two guinea pigs from starving and/or suffocating
beneath piles of laundry. The idea for this story grew out of research
for her upcoming first novel from Ace, Down the Rushy Glen,
which, happily, makes her ineligible to enter the contest next year.
