Book description
Another testing case for Michael Angel. The famous film director of
a leading international film studio is found murdered on the set in
the South Yorkshire town of Bromersley. Nearby, a penniless tramp is
discovered shot dead with a gold sovereign in his mouth. There are
neither clues nor DNA for either murder, but Detective Inspector
Michael Angel tackles this case with his customary tenacity. As usual,
his superiors and the system seem to hinder him at every turn. Finding
his life at risk, he has to apply his unique skills to overcome the
danger, unravel the mystery and arrest the murderer before time runs
out. This latest foray into The Curious Mind of Inspector Angel
exemplifies the quirky genius and ingenuity of this exceptional man.
Son of a Yorkshire businessman, Roger was educated in Gloucestershire
before National Service. He later worked in the toy trade and as a
copywriter in an advertising agency. Roger went into business with his
wife as an antiques dealer before retiring in 1997. His Inspector Angel
series is now on its 18th book and has been extremely successful.
